D & Sons Apartments

Our stay was marked by a host who yelled at me over the phone and by basic utilities that didn't work well. The apartment is central in the Old Town, but that didn't make the experience professional or comfortable. When we arrived, the main door was jammed, leaving us stuck at check-in with an access and safety concern. I called the host, 'D', for help and was berated instead. That was unacceptable and made the rest of the trip feel distressing. Hot water was severely limited, so don't expect a comfortable long shower. We were told not to touch the water heating geyser and to leave it on 'Eco mode'. It felt like we were paying for cold showers so the host could save a few cents on electricity. The WiFi was also dismal and practically unusable throughout our stay. If you need to work, check email, or plan an itinerary, look elsewhere. The host blamed the thick stone walls, but WiFi boosters could surely have helped. In 2025, reliable internet is a basic requirement. Kotor has plenty of beautiful apartments with professional management. I see no reason to spend money somewhere the internet doesn't work, hot water is rationed, and the host reacts aggressively to legitimate concerns. Avoid.

The apartment was tidy and very clean, right inside the Venetian walls of the old town, so the location is exceptional. Just keep in mind that the area is pedestrian-only. If you're arriving by car, you'll need to park and walk a little.

The location is in the middle of the old town, but the service and location experience were very bad. Nobody told us there'd be music, even when the host came to greet us. It was so loud until 2 AM that we couldn't sleep.

We hadn't realized we were meant to contact the owner before arriving, but he came to let us in within five minutes. The apartment was very clean and quiet, with a cute entrance. He also gave us complimentary water and apple juice. Thank you!
