Hotel Fobra

I had an immediate allergic reaction in the room, so I would strongly advise people with allergies or asthma to avoid this place. There was visible black mold on the bathroom fan and in the ceiling corners, dirt built up along the skirting boards and corners, and dusty carpets. The photos show what I mean. The owner said the room had been sanitized, but it did not look that way. I was moved the next day, and the second room still wasn't clean enough. The owner also refused a partial refund, giving what I felt were unfounded excuses about card payments. A hotel that overlooks guests' health isn't one I can trust. Check the photos carefully before booking.

We asked for a refund or compensation after seeing the room, but BORIS was rude and threatening and refused to help. He insisted the toilet was clean without even looking at it, while Yovana, the receptionist, agreed it was dirty when we called her right after checking in. She was really nice, but the room itself was a mess. The lights kept cutting out, and we had to ask the receptionist to fix the fuse over and over. The toilet and towels were dirty, there was no proper curtain, and the shower had lots of dirt and limescale. This was room 301, their last room available. Worst stay ever. Don't book this place!

The mattress was comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and nicely done. The room, though, was quite disgusting. The cups were dirty, as were the edges of the room and the ventilation, and the bathroom heating didn't work. We both ended up with stuffy noses from the dirt, even though we don't usually notice that allergy.

The staff were nice and helpful, but I couldn't sleep because there were lots of spiders and bugs in the toilet. The bathroom needs proper cleaning and repairs. Staff came to the apartment the next day, but nothing had been cleaned. Breakfast was exactly the same on both nights, with no variation.
