We didn’t need a car: the bus stop nearby has service every 15 minutes. The apartment has all the essentials and was exceptionally clean. The nearby beaches were more enjoyable than the ones in the city center, and the homeowners were fantastic, very welcoming people.

The bay view from the room is great, and Aleksandra was a really nice host. Everything was clean and provided in the rooms. You can walk to the places you want to go from this location, and there’s free street parking. The AC gets ice cold.

The hosts are what made Villa Dalex memorable for us. It’s family-run, with deep roots in this part of Montenegro, and they made us feel welcome from the start, even offering the family’s locally made wine when we arrived. Dana speaks English and Russian, knows the area well, and was generous with information. Danica can show you Celobrdo and other less-visited spots, and Dana can suggest tours in nearby towns through agencies she knows personally. I’d take her recommendations: everything she suggested was fantastic. The only tour I didn’t enjoy was kayaking, which I booked without asking her. We also liked the quiet, residential feel of Kamenovo after busy days out. Budva and other major sites are reachable by car, Kamenovo Beach is about a 10-minute walk, and the sea-facing balconies give you a beautiful view each morning. There’s a restaurant across the road and a few cafes by the beach, so families can spend the day close by. The rooms are clean and well kept, and look much like the online photos. It’s a relaxed, homelike place to settle into. A small supermarket is just down the steep driveway, handy for snacks, coffee, or sunscreen. The kitchens and fridges are small, so cooking a lot isn’t really an option, though there’s enough to make coffee and a light breakfast. Parking can be a bit challenging, so let the hosts know if you’re driving. There are quite a few stairs as well, which could be difficult for elderly guests or anyone with trouble walking. Thanks to Dana and her family for making us feel so at home. We can’t wait to come back.

The Mitrovic family treats guests so thoughtfully, and we’ll definitely return. Villa Dalex is cozy, very clean, and in a wonderful location, with super hosts. The studios are well equipped, some with lovely sea views and others looking out onto a charming garden. I strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a great time in Montenegro.
