The lobby was a good place to slow down: spacious, quiet, with dependable Wi-Fi and plenty of comfortable seats if you need to work. On the 6th floor, my internet was a bit unreliable, which did nudge me to disconnect. The staff were exceptionally friendly throughout. From inside, the tree-covered hillside behind the hotel looks peaceful, though it's not somewhere to walk or explore. The sea view from the front is striking, especially on the upper floors. This hotel dates to the 1960s and has a vintage feel. It has aged, but that gives it a character you don't often find now. It's not a typical modern hotel and won't suit everyone, but for resting, reflecting, and taking things slowly, it was perfect for me.

The rooms are very clean, though the room itself mattered less to me than everything else. Breakfast, the restaurant, and reception were all great, and everything is close by.

We booked here, saw the state of the room, and left right away. It was in really bad shape, hadn't been cleaned, and had stains all over the bed. When we showed a photo to the middle-aged, half-bald man at the front desk, he had no name tag and said, “I know how the rooms look and I can’t do anything about it.” He made the experience awful. I'd never been to Ulqin before, and this first hotel left a terrible impression. The staff seemed rude and unconcerned about guests' experience.

I spent a week here at the end of august 2018 and had a great time. The location in Ulcinj is hard to beat if you want rocky beaches, greenery, quiet, and fresh air. I felt safe on a solo trip, and the area was calm. There's a beach right beside the hotel, Ladies Beach is about a 5-minute walk away, and a trail along the coast leads to Velika Plaza Beach. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. I'd just get breakfast at the hotel. My single room was cozy and clean, with a decent-sized bed and a balcony looking out over the sunset and seaside. I could sleep with the windows open because there was no outside noise. The Wi-Fi was strong enough, too. The bathroom was very small and there was no large mirror, but that seemed fair for a 2-star hotel at this price. The staff were helpful with everything. I hope I can come back. I don't understand the negative reviews!
