The host is really kind and supportive, and the sea view is hard to beat. Getting to the beach takes a 1.5-2 km walk or a drive along the main road, though. And Ulcinj definitely isn't quiet: there’s loud, shoddy music and thousands of people around.

The worst part was having the owners let themselves in with their own key. I was relaxing alone while my husband was at the beach, when they opened the door. I wasn't expecting anyone, and that kind of intrusive service shocked me. The owner also didn't want to pay our tourist tax, even though we'd paid it through Booking.com, and it took a long time to prove she was wrong. This happened in 2021. The beach is only reachable by car and is far away. In the evenings, sometimes there was no water, hot or cold. The air conditioner was too weak for such a large top-floor space. It cooled only about two square meters, while the bedroom was 10 meters across the hallway. My son slept under it. It was so hot that I had to wet the sheets and cover myself with them to sleep. Horrible!

The terrace looks out over the sea and Ulcinj, and we loved our stay. The apartment is spacious, spotless, and carefully looked after, with high-quality equipment. Julia and Johann are kind, helpful, experienced hosts.

The apartment is roomy and functional, in a pleasant area, and the sunset views are exceptional. The person managing the apartments, her daughter, and her son are welcoming and fantastic, and very available despite working remotely. It gets very hot, so I’d avoid it in that weather. The apartment faces south, has no insulation or shutters, and relies on one very small air conditioner for the whole place.
