Carolea Restaurant feels like a calm escape in the old olive groves of the Masline area near Valdanos, away from the busy city center. The terrace looks out over lush greenery, and it’s relaxing for a quiet lunch or a romantic dinner, in daylight or at sunset. The menu brings together Mediterranean style and local Ulcinj food. The truffle ravioli and oven-baked sea bream stood out, and the pistachio tiramisu is known for its presentation and rich taste. The staff are warm and professional, and make you feel at home. They use local ingredients too. Start with the “Carolea” platter of local cheeses, beef ham, and Ulcinj olives.

The fish was fresh from the sea and really delicious. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable, not expensive at all. Such a good place for great food!

We’ll be back next year. The staff made us feel very welcome, and the local food was one of the best parts of our stay. The facilities were in excellent condition and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Highly recommend!

The place itself is nice and the food was good, but the prices felt quite high. We went for my mother-in-law’s birthday, and the staff weren’t very welcoming. There were lots of flies inside, which made the atmosphere feel far from cosy. I asked whether they had any birthday offer, like a discount or something complimentary. They said they’d think of something, but nothing came of it, not even a kind word. It was a strange situation and left me confused and upset.

I love coming here. The food and drinks are amazing, locally sourced, and the staff know the menu and ingredients really well. An exceptional place.
