The bungalow was okay at best, and being near the beach is really its only upside. The beds were absolute back breakers. I woke up feeling like a truck had run over me, and the bungalow wasn’t very clean, especially the bathroom, where the running water stinks. The restaurant wasn’t great either, particularly the service. The waiter got my order wrong several times. When I asked to exchange it for what I’d actually ordered, I found I’d been charged for both. The terrace can smell a bit because a nearby sewage line leaks. 2 for the hotel and 2 for the restaurant. Not recommended.

The outdoor grounds at HTP Velika Plaza are tidy and well organized, and the apartments are comfortable. There’s free parking and Wi-Fi, and towels are changed daily. The receptionists were kind and helpful. The beaches Mohito, White, and Pearl Blue are sandy and less than 500 meters away, while La Guitarra and La Tavola are an easy walk, with really good food at reasonable prices. The indoor cleaning was poor, the kitchen was not well equipped, and the Wi-Fi quality could be better. There are no international, English-language TV channels.

Montenegro is a nice country, but something strange seems to be going on at this particular place. Hotel HTP Velika Plaza was unclean, the food made us sick, and it didn’t meet basic hotel requirements. Please stay away.

The accommodation was acceptable apart from the beds. I never managed to sleep through a night, and I always woke up with back pain.
