We missed our bus from Dubrovnik, but our kind host moved our reservation dates at no extra cost. She spoke only a little English, though we managed to communicate just fine. Stevo's Guesthouse is 20m from the sandy beach, with restaurants, ice cream parlors, and shops close by. The walk from the bus station was manageable, even carrying my backpack in 30C heat. She also offered the most thirst-quenching complimentary water I’ve ever had. The room was basic but clean, and the shared bathroom made sense for such a low rent. I spent two and a half days in Ulcinj and paid just 50 euros including accommodation. It was amazing value, and relaxing in Montenegro was a highlight of our Europe trip.
