Hotel De Andros Virpazar

The spa was a treat, especially since booking an hour meant the whole place was ours: steam bath, jacuzzi, Russian bath, salt room and two other facilities we didn’t try. It was our first time in a salt room. We also ate there one evening. My husband is very particular about meat, and he said the filet steak was the best he’d had, so tender it melted in his mouth. The spaghetti was great too. We stayed for two nights starting 11 September, and all four of us loved it. The hotel, the staff and that unbelievable view were wonderful. I could happily afford a room here for the rest of my life and spend every morning through dawn on the roof, looking out at the endless view. It was our first visit to Montenegro, but if we come back, we’ll stay here again. Thanks to all the hotel staff 😊

The location is right by the lake and the little port, with views across the water. We went for a couple of walks from the hotel, but the litter along both sides of the road really got in the way. It’s promoted as a scenic route with flowers and beautiful views, yet beer cans, snack packets, cigarette packets and bottles kept distracting from it. Sad to see. At reception we were always greeted warmly, and Peter deserves a thank you for that 👌😊. We also tried the spa, but the jacuzzi jets and heated beds weren’t working. That was disappointing. We reported it and weren’t charged for using the spa. It’s a shame those technical problems haven’t been fixed. We stayed a couple of nights.

The room was lovely, with a river view, and the service was friendly. We really enjoyed the restaurant food, especially for the price. You’ll need a car if you stay here, since the tourist spots require some driving.

We got some great recommendations during our two-night stay, which began on October 20th, 2025. Breakfast was included and good. The receptionist was amazing when we had a medical emergency, even helping us get eye drops. We were also upgraded to a lovely room overlooking the lake. We were disappointed that the outdoor pool wasn’t heated and wasn’t open. We’d booked the spa, but only the sauna was working, so they didn’t charge us the €10.
