The hotel itself is lovely, and there are plenty of employees, but the cleaning is still poor. The pool was dirty both in and out, and it seems they think cleaning it once a day is enough. It’s not because they lack staff, either. I just didn’t see anyone managing things.

The tuna carpaccio at supper was good, but the food was poor otherwise. Breakfast was pretty terrible: a little bread, a few vegetables, and a pancake. We had to ask for scrambled eggs, which they eventually made, but they tasted awful and hardly anyone ate them. Fine for a night or two, I guess.

I only stopped for lunch while passing through Ambilobe, so I can’t speak to the rest of the hotel. The food was good and fairly priced, and the place looked nice. I’d probably give it a try for a stay if I’m in Ambilobe again.

It looks good, but nothing works. There wasn’t even drinking water in the rooms. Complete shit.

If you need to stay in Ambilobe, Kozobe is the place I’d choose. The accommodation feels luxurious, the staff are professional, and it’s comfortable. For the quality, the hotel fee is good value.
