The bungalow area is pretty dusty, but the place was fine overall and I had a pleasant time. There are lots of activities to do, and you can feed some lemurs and maki here too. The restaurant is delicious, though pricey.

The lemurs roaming around freely were wonderful to see, especially the brown ones, who were super fun. Our room was very spacious, with a sitting area outside. Getting here means taking a long, bumpy track. There’s solar power for charging until 6, then a generator runs until midnight. The shower was hot. WiFi worked in the restaurant and reached the pool area. The restaurant food was nice, and breakfast was decent, though a little disorganised.

There’s a great choice of food and drinks, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bungalow had everything I needed, though electricity was only available at certain times. That didn’t bother me, since I could always charge things at reception. The pool is huge and relaxing, and lots of different lemurs wander around. Sometimes they even turn up at breakfast. A perfect place to spend a few relaxing nights in nature. I’d come back if I can.

The pool and comfortable bed were the only things we liked. After a couple of weeks travelling around Madagascar, we wanted a day to relax in Morondava and chose this resort. Given how expensive it was compared with other places in Madagascar, we expected a matching standard. The beach was about a 20-25 minute walk away. The kitchen and restaurant were extremely slow, and the food wasn’t properly cooked. The hot water didn’t work, and the cold water stank. There was a huge cockroach in our bungalow. When we asked for the bill for our whole stay, they charged us for things we hadn’t even had or bought. We asked the staff about it, and they laughed, said it must be a mistake, and returned our money. Paying by card also comes with a 5% fee. I was disappointed.
