Residence Lapasoa

I liked the comfortable rooms, the carved wood details, and the way this traditional house has been turned into a charming little boutique hotel. The service was great, too, and the location is right in the capital’s center. It is a bit pricey, though. We didn’t try the internet because we had our own bundle. The restaurant is expensive and has limited meal choices, and breakfast only has two options. Still, I’d recommend it.

The rooms were much larger than I expected for a city hotel, with good WiFi, art, a hair dryer, fan, and TV. We liked the limited menu, and the wine list was detailed. The draft beer was a great end to the evening. It’s close to the queen's Palace, but far enough away for quiet nights, and makes a good base for exploring beautiful Tana.

You can enjoy the architecture of this old, typical Antananarivo house, the view of the Rova, and its spot right in the city center. It’s a great boutique hotel. I’d just like more room service options. Photos provided by Madagascar Models during a fashion shoot performed at the hotel.

The restaurant made the stay hard to enjoy. The food was quite ordinary, and they served the same menu every day for both lunch and dinner. Service was very bad, too, with dinner taking more than 2:30 hours. The hotel itself was very nice, with beautiful rooms and kind people.
