La Varangue Restaurant has a unique atmosphere and is a lovely place to unwind over a good meal. The food was delicious, everything seemed well organized, and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend it.

We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and the food was really high quality. The place was very clean, too. Great service, with a lovely atmosphere and décor. For me, it’s the best place in Madagascar’s capital.

Getting there during the day can be difficult because of the traffic, and the staff’s limited English made service harder. Still, it’s a good place if you want to explore the busy town. I liked the hotel’s antique collection and beautiful terrace. The food was presented beautifully, though on our last day there was no water in our rooms and the shower dispenser was empty. The curtains were a bit dusty.

The rooms and restaurant are really beautiful, and the friendly staff and lovely atmosphere make the place. Breakfast was the letdown: poor coffee and stale pastries, though the omelettes were nice.
