The Chameleon apartment was roomy and comfortable, and you could use the pool whenever you wanted. Antonio and his lovely team made us feel welcome, with staff who were consistently friendly and attentive. The chef and her team cooked excellent food, especially the zebu I enjoyed. The hotel is in a quiet spot, 6km from the town center and near the airport. It's also close to the main road, so getting around by tuk-tuk is easy.

The pool was decent and kept in good shape, and the staff were really kind. It's a nice place to switch off, though holidays can be a surprise: it becomes very child and teen focused, with loud music coming from different corners. A few little extras would help, like toothbrush holders, a small shower gel sample, and a couple of tea bags for the kettle and two cups. And the bread issue was odd. When I asked for some, I was told it wasn't part of the price. Since when is bread a side dish? Salad, vegetables, rice, pasta, fries, those are sides. Bread is NOT.

Wednesday afternoons can get noisy when the hotel lets neighborhood children use the pool for free. I see that as a downside, but not a bad point, since giving them access is commendable. The hotel itself is lovely and sits a little outside Diego-Suarez. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, especially Laura, Léa, Julidia, and the others whose names I've forgotten ☺️. They also know good places to go out and visit, and don't inflate the prices. Lots of things here work really well.

The room got cleaned daily and the staff were friendly, but we left disappointed after four days. The bed and pillows were acceptable, though the shutters and bedroom door were hard to open. The bathroom had a leak in the toilet, a broken light, and almost no shower pressure throughout our stay. We had no hot water for two days, and the shower curtain kept sticking to us. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the air conditioning was either switched off during the day or completely broken. We arrived two hours early to find the room unready and unclean, apart from the bed. The pool water was cloudy.
