Gassy Country House

The manager was extremely helpful when we spoke with him, especially since most of the other staff spoke little English. He even arranged a day trip with a hotel driver and car. The roads around the hotel seemed safe during the day, though they’re very basic and best avoided at night. Our room was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, and having a balcony was a real plus. The hotel is only five minutes from the airport. The restaurant has plenty of space, but service was slow and the menu felt much the same each day. We enjoyed swimming in the large pool, though the water was a bit cold. WiFi was weak and patchy, but mostly usable.

The staff were kind, and the suite itself was nice. Still, the rooms felt too dark even with every light on. There’s a soccer field across from the hotel, so it can get a little noisy. The food was just okay, with very dry bread and tough meat. WiFi in the room was weak and nearly useless.

The rooms are good, but I had some trouble with the water in mine.

The restaurant was excellent, and the pool area was beautiful. We stayed in a small economy room, which was comfortable enough. This place was a welcome surprise, almost like a French Villa, just five minutes from the airport. For a one night stop, it beat the 45 minute trip back downtown. The weak WiFi was the only thing I could complain about.
