The location is great, with plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby, including a really good one right across the street. I’ve stayed here twice, so clearly I like it, and the owners are welcoming and friendly. Both times, my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. During the pandemic, the kitchen and common room weren’t available, which was fine since I wasn’t planning to cook. A shower curtain would help in the bathroom: another guest left water all over the floor after showering, and I had to clean it up. Even when I’m careful, some water still gets out. The water also takes a while to reach the right temperature, which can be a hassle. I’d call this a guesthouse rather than a hostel, and I’d stay here whenever I’m in Kavadarci. Highly recommend it.

Parking your bike in the room costs nothing, and I love all the window cream, it’s fun to lick off. With just one bathroom, the queue keeps going while you wait, so it’s easy to meet people. This place just can’t be beat.

When my stomach was upset, Bronko went to the pharmacy for medication and offered me lots of food he’d grown himself, some of it fermented. He’s a fun, interesting host with a huge heart, and his hospitality was incredible.
