I’d wanted to visit Ikar Hut for years, and getting to be its first guest in three years made me really happy. I thought I’d be seeing a museum full of art and memorabilia, but it turned out to be a lovely home where people can share stories and ideas. Ilina made us feel so welcome. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The garden is cool and relaxing, and the hostel is right in front of the lake in a great spot. I felt at home there. The staff were really friendly and ready to help with ideas for things to do, and the owner was kind and cool too. Everything was clean and had what I needed. A very beautiful hostel, and really comfortable.

Ikarhut is my favorite place in Ohrid. The house has creative stuff all through it and a really good energy. You can mix a holiday with sports and creativity there. Best neighborhood ever.

The old house is lovely and decorated nicely, and the area and location are both good. The staff were very nice too. Still, it felt too expensive for what we got, especially the cleanliness and bed comfort.
