The family who run this hotel are lovely and go out of their way to make the stay memorable. We enjoyed it enough to come back for a second visit, and we're already planning our third for next year. Breakfast has cooked British-style options as well as a good spread of continental meats and cheeses, plus some wonderfully sweet cakes. The rooms are great and have cooking facilities if you want to use them. The lake is just a couple of minutes away, and the town takes about 15-20 minutes to reach.

Update, August 2025: It’s even better now. There’s a shower rake, and breakfast is great! ♥️👍🏻♥️👍🏻♥️ The people are lovely and kind, the room is beautifully designed, and I really liked the little kitchen. The location is okay, and the service suits this price level just fine.

I had the restful, quiet holiday I wanted, with no one disturbing me. The lake is across the street, and the center is a 15-20 minute walk away. There’s also a shop beside the apartment, and breakfast is served each morning. The apartments are clean and the hosts are very friendly. I recommend staying here, and I’ll choose Villa Antigona again on my next trips to Ohrid.

The hotel staff arranged a taxi when we asked, which spared us uncomfortable arguments with drivers about prices. The beach and boat tours are farther away than I expected, about a 30 minute walk or a short ride by taxi. Our room was clean and suited us well, with a modest but well-equipped kitchenette, a hot shower with good pressure, a cozy balcony, and fresh AC. There are stairs, as at many places. The hospitality was outstanding: we left an important item behind, and the staff coordinated getting it back to us across the border in Albania. We had a lovely stay and would come again if we’re in town.

There’s about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the center, and it’s conveniently close to the lake. We had a wonderful stay at this family-owned place. The rooms were spacious and impeccably decorated, and the breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice. We highly recommend it.
