The terrace view is spectacular, and it was lovely to sit out in the morning or at night and look over the city. The landlady was kind and accommodating, always greeting us with a smile. The beds were comfortable and the place had what we needed for a couple of days in Ohrid. Getting up there is hard by foot, car, or any other way 😂, so think twice before heading out to the market or for a meal. The rooms are a little outdated, though clean and well kept.

The view is second to none, which is why I'm giving two stars, but I can't recommend this place. It's very small and outdated, with few facilities, and the ones it has have seen better days. We visited in winter and the heater didn't work when we arrived. Even after running all night, it barely warmed the room. Sleeping in my car would've been more comfortable. The electrics were sparking and damaged my plugs, and there was mold in the bedroom.

The location and wonderful view were the only good parts. The studio was tiny, poorly equipped, and dingy, with dirty dishes, mold in the bathroom and refrigerator, and an uncomfortable mattress. The accommodation photos looked like they were from better times. The steep access would be hard to drive on in the rain. During our stay, water was out across Ohrid for 35 hours, which wasn't the landlady's fault. But despite us asking several times, she only gave us two bottles of water for one of the rooms we booked so we could flush the toilet. We got nothing for the second room. She was unfriendly, rude, and aggressive, and we were glad to leave. I can only advise against staying here.

The family who own and run Apartments Sonja are extremely friendly and always ready to help if you need anything. The rooms are spacious, with great views and a large veranda, and this part of Ohrid is peaceful. The location is ideal, a short walk from Plaosnik, the lake, and the busier town center. I've stayed here several times and it's simply fantastic. Can highly recommend Apartments Sonja.

The landscape is marvelous, and the house is beautiful. The host was helpful, and the price was fair. This place is really wonderful, I think you'll love it.
