Aristocrat Hotel

The food was good, especially the salads, which were fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared with top quality vegetables. We also had fresh trout, grilled just right without being overdone. Still, the overall experience felt a bit flat. For what it costs, this is at the upper end of the city’s price range, so I expected everything to match that level. The service was acceptable, but not what it should have been.

Nice rooms and nice people, close to the medical faculty.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the food was very good and tasty, but I wouldn’t return because of the room’s condition. It wasn’t very clean and seemed to be falling apart. Our door wouldn’t close, so they had to give us a regular key to lock it from inside. The top of the desk wasn’t attached, and it fell off twice when my son accidentally leaned on it. There’s no breakfast buffet, so the choice is limited. You order from savory options, and the portions were too big for the kids. They also bring bread with the usual toppings, jam, honey, and butter, plus a plate of fruit. It felt like a lot of wasted food to me. With a buffet, everyone could take only what they need.

Breakfast was filling, tasty, and just right, and the clean balcony with its table and chairs was another big plus. The location isn’t ideal, but it’s only a 20 minute walk to the city center. My room was spotless, with a clean bathroom, a fridge, lots of storage, and a huge, very comfortable bed. I’ve stayed in more than 50 small hotels over the last two years, and Hotel Aristocrat is one of my favorites. It holds up well compared with 5 start mega resorts. I HIGHLY suggest Hotel Aristocrat and Fish Restaurant.
