BSV Hostel

I had a pleasant stay. The owner is very nice and easy to communicate with, whether it was changing my reservation or extending my stay. There’s a gas cooker and coffee for guests, and the surroundings are pleasant. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the city center, and nearby shops sell food for less than in the center. :-)

I’m Turkish and stayed here briefly. People on the street told me this couple were crazy, and I found the woman shouting so much that it gave me a headache. The service was very poor too, and there were bedbugs in the bedsheets. It was a bad experience, and I think you can find much better places. I had to message Hostelworld, and I sent enough complaints that this hostel will be blocked.

Bedbugs, and it was very dirty everywhere. The male host was really nice, but the woman seemed crazy to me and shouted instead of talking like a “normal person.” It’s really cheap, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

The building doesn’t look very inviting from outside, but this is the cheapest place you can stay in Skopje, so don’t expect a luxury palace. I stayed at BSV hostel twice and enjoyed it. The owners are a really nice older couple. We drank and had lots of fun together, and they offered us excellent rakia and cevapcici to try. If I visit Skopje again, I’ll definitely stay here.
