For the price, I found it quite comfortable. I stayed in a double bed, and the curtains gave it a good amount of privacy. The bed itself was really good, though there was an unpleasant smell. Better ventilation might help.

The pods felt cramped and became hot and stuffy in the evenings. They’re below the hotel, so there’s no natural light from outside. The corridor smelled revolting, and the showers were in really bad shape: they wouldn’t lock, the lights went off, and the women’s showers had no water. I had to ask if I could use the hotel showers instead. If you can spend a few extra pounds, I’d stay somewhere else.

The location was excellent, but the conditions were awful enough that I wouldn’t stay here again. Our sheets hadn’t been changed when we arrived, everything felt damp and smelled strongly of mold, the pod cupboards didn’t lock, and there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. I’d choose somewhere else in Skopje.

The price and location are the main reasons to stay here. It’s in a hotel basement and feels like an afterthought, with little care put into it. The bed, duvet, and pillow were comfy for the low price, but this is an 80-pod dorm, so light sleepers will get woken up. The pods have low headroom too, I hit my head 763 times in two days. The toilets and showers work, but the locks are poor, the shower can soak your clothes, and water stays pooled on the floor long after it’s off. There’s nowhere to avoid the puddle without stepping into the corridor.
