Hotel Kapistec

We weren't sure what to expect from Macedonia, but the people at this hotel left us with wonderful memories of the country. We got a free room upgrade when we arrived, and the hotel is in a great area with a nice walk into the center of Skopje. What really stood out was the hospitality. Darko and Suzana were always glad to chat and made us feel at home. They took time to drive us to different places, gave us good tips on where to eat, and drove us to the bus centre. They even gave us a gift before we left. I hadn't expected such friendliness in Macedonia, because of my own ignorance, but the people at the hotel changed how I see the country. I'll definitely return one day. I can't recommend this hotel enough, the hosts are incredibly kind. A big thank you from Northern Ireland.

A beautiful, welcoming hotel with excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommend.

It's a family hotel with plenty of rooms. The owner kindly offered us a bigger room so three of us could fit. Our room was clean, but there were lots of mosquitoes around the area, so we couldn't open the balcony door to air it out and the room felt a bit stuffy. We were there in August, and it was very hot, so the air conditioning helped a lot. If you need a higher pillow to sleep, remember to ask for extras.

The staff were very helpful, and breakfast in the morning was nice. Our room was spacious, and the hotel is in a calm area, still not too far from restaurants and nightlife.
