Hotel Portal was so quiet, right by the river, with no traffic noise. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, everything was clean, and staff were friendly and ready to help at any hour. Prices were affordable too. I liked being surrounded by nature while still being a short walk across the river from the center. You can jog along the river or walk about 15 minutes to cafes, restaurants, and museums. A lovely mix of outdoors and city life. I had a great, easygoing stay and definitely recommend it.

The view near the Vardar River was stunning, and the hotel had a beautiful setting. With its peaceful atmosphere and fresh natural surroundings, I found it really relaxing. The staff were amazing.

The room never felt properly clean, especially the bathroom, which wasn't cleaned well during my 10 days there. They didn't even have a vacuum cleaner. Towels and sheets smelled sour, and both the towels and furniture were old. The whole place smelled like an old house, and water dripped from the ceiling. Breakfast was very poor, the same every day, with bad coffee. The hotel is next to a school, so sleeping past 7 am was impossible. For a supposedly three-star hotel, I'd give it only one and a half stars. I won't come back.

The beds were comfortable, service was very good, and breakfast was good too. There's parking in front of the hotel, and fast Wi-Fi 6 worked everywhere. The location is convenient, near Skopie's sports hall and swimming pool.

Good service at this nice hotel, set beside the river and next to one of the city's best hospitals. The location worked well.
