The sea view from our bungalow was lovely, and the rate felt fair. I stayed there with my wife and toddler. The bathroom was dated, but okay for the price. Electricity only ran from 6 pm to 6 am and 1 pm to 4 pm, with an extra charge for power around the clock. Dinner tasted good, though it seemed overpriced, and I’d suggest trying restaurants outside. Breakfast and teatime really need work. There was also loud Bollywood music around the pool, and most reception staff seemed ordinary, not as friendly as at other hotels.

The setting is peaceful, with lovely sea views and a convenient spot for the beach and local seafood restaurants. Akrit Hotel at Chaung Thar Beach had clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and swimming pools for children and families. It made for a comfortable, quiet beach break, especially for families.

We especially liked the helpful, friendly staff and the clean, comfortable room. The hotel sits right by the sea, with beautiful views and a relaxing feel. Breakfast and afternoon tea were very good too. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend it.

The staff were nice, but the room was dirty and the bathroom fittings were cheap. The hotel itself feels very old. Food was just average, like something from an inn or motel.
