A simple but nice place to stay. The service was amazing, and breakfast gets a solid 8/10, especially the pancakes. If you have a wheat allergy, though, there won’t be much you can eat at breakfast. It’s a nice little hostel in Kalaw.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the basic breakfast was nice. We had a private twin room with a clean bathroom, comfy beds, and great hot showers. It’s a good little spot for a day or two before trekking to Inle Lake. Town is a 20-minute walk, or you can borrow their bicycles for free or take a cheap motorbike taxi from the hostel.

We were just passing through before the three-day hike to Inle Lake and stayed for a night and a half. They can arrange early check-in if you arrive in the middle of the night. There are warm showers, and they light a bonfire in the evening. The staff were really nice. Breakfast was okay, nothing special.

The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was nice. It’s a good half-hour walk into town, though. One staff member gave me bad hiking advice: I said I was doing the Inle trek, but he sent me to the viewpoint that the trek visits on its first day. I only found that out too late.

The WiFi is basically one of the guys working there tethering his connection for you, so it barely works. The rooms smell damp and have no AC, and the breakfast pancakes weren’t cooked properly. There are places in town for about the same price that are much nicer.
