The rooms have nice views, and you can see a beautiful sunrise from them. My room and bathroom were clean, and the towels were the whitest and cleanest I’ve had in my Myanmar hotel experiences. The standard is very good, the amenities are nice, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Breakfast was normal. There’s no kettle in the room, but the hotel provides hot water in a flask, maybe because of electricity problems. Internet signal only reaches some rooms and the lobby.

The location is great, and the pricing feels quite fair. My room was comfortable and clean, and the service was professional.

The breakfast spot has a panoramic view, and the staff there were really attentive. They asked if I wanted more coffee and quickly came over when water spilled. Breakfast itself was simple but nice. The hotel entrance had a welcoming look that we liked, and Golden Rock is within walking distance. We stayed one night in late Jan in room 103, just one level down the staircase from the breakfast place. It had a very nice sunrise view. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby areas. The beds and shower jets were lousy, and it was hard to adjust the water temperature.

The sunrise from the room was so beautiful, and the views felt mysterious. It made me appreciate more of what was around the room. The hotel is on top of the mountain, and getting things delivered is a big issue, since it’s such a long journey and local people have to carry heavy loads. The breakfast menu is quite limited.
