Central Hotel Yangon

The rooms and hallways feel a little old and outdated, though it’s quiet, which is good. Breakfast is just OK. The hotel is cheaper than other places in the city center, and its central location makes it easy to find whatever you need. Shopping malls and Bogyoke Market are nearby. One thing that really disappoints me is room service. If the buffet room is busy selling food in the evening, you can’t order anything to your room. It feels like they’re focused on making more money from the buffet instead.

I was especially glad to find a range of tasty Zabiha halal dishes under the new managment. Since I’m particular about halal food, it was a relief to have meals I could trust while traveling. Central Hotel is good value in Yangon, with reasonable prices for the facilities and service. From arrival onward, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and went out of their way to keep me comfortable. I highly recommend it if you want comfort, good service, and affordability.

The sink was dirty, and there weren’t many outlets. The free WiFi kept disconnecting every 3 to 15 minutes.
