The setting is beautiful, and the service was great. I also appreciated the green approach: no plastic anywhere on the property, with vegetable gardens around the bungalows. I had a wonderfully restful night here in Feb 2019 and hope I can return one day.

I really liked the lodge’s decor and how hospitable the staff were. It’s a great place for a holiday, though getting there could be easier, and it’s not close to the nearby attractions. I’d also have liked bathroom slippers and more modest local rates, around 60K to 80K MMK. With those changes, I’d give it 5 stars.

I only found out my booking had been cancelled when I arrived, because nobody told me beforehand. That kind of service makes it hard to trust a hotel with a reservation, so I can’t recommend booking here. The location was also difficult to find: the GPS directions were wrong, and the sign on the main road was hard to spot. The signs, directory information, and service all need attention. Very disappointing.

The views are breathtaking, with the mountain behind us and a beautiful lake in front. Our host ZarZar made sure we were comfortable, and the service was impeccable. The spacious rooms had the best europeoan appliances, and the kitchen could compete with top restaurants in Yangon. Highly recommended.
