There were several things I liked during my stay. The room had plenty of space, the view was enjoyable, and the staff were courteous and convenient to deal with. We didn't have any power outages, either. Nearby restaurants made it easy to find somewhere to eat, and the price seemed reasonable for the accommodation. Breakfast was the letdown, though. It didn't meet what I was hoping for, and improving that would make this decent hotel feel more complete.

The area around the hotel isn't very appealing, so I wouldn't choose it as a place to hang out. Still, it's nice to return to: the staff are attentive, the rooms are clean, and the food is very good. Get a high floor with a River View if you can, it's mesmerizing. There's also a roof top lounge for happy hour.

A very decent hotel restaurant, and there's happy hour at the roof top bar from 5-6. They also put on a marionette show if it isn't raining. The rooms are clean and nice, with comfy beds and pillows, good air conditioning, and good bathrooms. Reception was friendly and organized, and the service was great. I'd recommend staying here if you're transferring to the ferry the next morning.

The roof offers spectacular views, making it a great spot for sunset in Mandalay, and the cocktails, though average for the price, felt worth it for that view. The restaurant manager made us feel unwelcome, though. The rooftop was completely empty when we arrived, but we were told every table was reserved and had to sit in a corner without a view. Even after 1.5hours, none of those tables had been occupied. Since we only wanted one drink, it would've been nice to use one of the many empty tables until the reserved guests showed up.

Venus went well beyond her duties to help our family of 15, and the staff overall were very helpful. The hotel is a little dated but clean. Breakfast was tasty and adequate. The location could be an issue.
