Hotel 82

The lobby was a comfortable place to spend time, always air conditioned and set up with drinks, Wi-Fi, books and plenty of seats. The decor came down to personal taste, but the space felt lively. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the manager had useful local knowledge and tips. For the price, service went well beyond what I expected. The facilities were basic but clean, and nothing obvious was missing. A generator kept the air conditioning running during power cuts. I'd recommend it.

The breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the hotel is easy to reach on foot from a number of places. They can arrange taxis and tuk-tuks too. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though the air conditioning didn't work very well. I stayed two nights and would come back.

Breakfast was varied and tasty, and the location worked well for us. The manager was especially thoughtful and the rest of the staff were kind. Our room was on the small side, with two single beds. I think it may have been one of the last rooms left because the hotel was full, but it was generally good.

Borrowing bikes made it easy to explore Mandalay, and cycling around the city was a really fun way to see it. The hotel was in a nice central spot, with spacious, clean rooms and incredibly kind staff. I really enjoyed my stay. Thanks for the memories, Hotel 82! :)
