The price felt fair for what was provided, and breakfast had plenty of variety, including omelettes and Burmese dishes. They also left water, coffee, and tea in the room. I had some trouble with the hot water but managed to get it working. The receptionist booked my onward bus to Yangon, and the fare was cheap, much cheaper than what other passengers paid.

The price was reasonable, around 25,000 MMK a night, and the central downtown location is handy, just a few minutes' walk from the night market. My room wasn't very spacious, but it was clean. Breakfast was ordinary.

The room was tiny but perfectly clean, with a large bathroom. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Pyae Phyo Ko, who arranged all our trips around Mandalay. I'd recommend the marionette theatre. It was a great experience, and so was the ride back with a bicycle taxi. At first I felt bad about hiring the older man's service, but he was so happy that we were his first customers of the day. Otherwise, he might have waited until midnight for another job. It was cooler than traveling in the midday heat, and cheaper than a taxi. Please support this older man by giving him work. He'll be there every evening. If you don't want to walk far for food, there's a restaurant next door to the hotel toward 34th Street. The food is good and cheap, and the owner is very friendly.

The service was great, and the rooms were nice by Myanmar standards. Breakfast had a Myanmar style, with toast, coffee, and plenty of fruit. All in all, a very nice stay.
