If you need to be near the railway station for an early train to another city, this hotel is a good pick. The setting is relaxing, with a nice lobby restaurant and a cozy bedroom with a glass bathroom, which seems great for couples. The central location also puts you near two shopping malls, along with shops, eateries, restaurants and bakeries. Just be aware that early trains sound their horns, which can be an unwelcome wake-up if you're a light sleeper. It really depends on what matters to you.

The restaurant had a good breakfast selection with cereal, fruit, bread and cooked food, though there wasn't an omelette station. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and even let us extend checkout until 4 pm. The beds were made each day and our room had a good range of TV channels. There is only one lift.

The deluxe rooms are just okay, while the superior rooms are so tiny you can barely move around. There were too many noisy Chinese tourists talking loudly in the middle of the night, with no consideration for other hotel guests. The one real advantage is being right opposite Mandalay station.

The location is pretty good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself feels old, and while it wasn't obviously dirty, it wasn't especially comfortable either. The bathroom needed better upkeep and some repairs. Unfortunately, breakfast was just plain bad.

An average big-city place, nothing especially memorable. The room and bathroom were clean, and the air conditioning worked, which is about what you can ask of somewhere like this. Wi-Fi stayed consistent, which was nice.
