Jessica, the hostel owner, was the best part of our one-night stay. She was incredibly kind and helpful. A week later, when we passed through Mawlamyine again and had trouble with our connection bus to Hpa-an, she still made calls and arranged another bus, even though it wasn't her responsibility. The hostel is cute, and we felt welcome there. Breakfast was the usual rice or toast with egg, plus good coffee. We also liked the restaurant next door, which belongs to Jessica's aunt. The food was delicious and cheap.

We only booked one night after crossing the border from Mae Sot, but wanted to stay longer and couldn't because it was fully booked. Our double room was small, which was fine, and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. The hostel had just been renovated and was clean and cozy. The shared bathroom and toilet had a very nice shower with hot water. Breakfast was simple, with good coffee, and was included. Jessica was probably the friendliest host I've met. She welcomed us and helped us plan our trip south through Myanmar. Her English is really good, so chatting with her was easy. She also helped when we returned from Dawei and ran into a problem with our connecting bus to Hpa-an. I really recommend staying here if you're visiting Moulmein/Mawlamyine.

I liked it enough to extend my stay by two nights. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and spoke great English. I especially enjoyed chatting with No No (Jessica). The beds were so comfortable, and their restaurant right next door serves delicious chicken curry. They helped me arrange motorbikes and gave me information about places to visit on Bilu (Ogre) Island and how to get there. They even arranged an in-room Burmese massage for me. I felt bad that it seemed like a lot of trouble, but the woman was excellent, and I gave her a decent tip. Tipping isn't usually expected. The hostel is also conveniently within walking distance of the bus station. A great stay.

After nearly four weeks traveling around Myanmar, this is the best hostel I've stayed in. The dorms are small, but cozy, with air conditioning and some privacy for sleeping. It's very clean and nice, Jessica was a wonderful host, and there's delicious food nearby.

The owners are lovely and always ready to help, and the place is very tidy and clean. The hostel is right inside the bus station, which is really useful. The dorm is tiny, but comfortable. The bed was clean and smelled fresh, and the air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast is very small, and you can't bring your bag into the dorm. I suppose that's an invitation to travel light. This isn't about the hostel itself, but I think other travelers should know. We booked a shared taxi through the hostel to Myawaddy to cross into Thailand. The driver drove dangerously the whole way, speeding and overtaking cars on curves and bridges. Several times he went off the road to pass other vehicles. He chewed Betel nut and spat into a bottle while steering with one hand. We nearly crashed into oncoming cars several times because he kept driving on the wrong side. We were scared for our lives through those long four hours. I don't want anyone else to have to go through that.
