The staff were so friendly and ready to help, which made the stay feel comfortable from the start. I also appreciated the free-flow water and hot drinks, including green tea, at reception, plus the complimentary bottled water in the room. Breakfast had a wide range of choices. The hotel is right downtown, with plenty of cafes and restaurants just steps away. The atmosphere was calm, clean and refreshingly cool, and my room was immaculate with tasteful decor. I especially liked having a full-length mirror, a detail I don't often see in other hotels. The pool is small, but it's clean, well looked after and nice for a quick dip. A cozy, clean place in a convenient Bagan spot.

The electric scooters from the little shop right in front of the hotel were a great way to see the sights. We hired them three days running, with two bikes and our boys riding on the back seats. It wasn't the most comfortable setup, but having the freedom to explore was great. The shop owner was helpful, and we booked a boat to Mandalay and a coach onward to Inle Lake through him at what seemed like fair prices compared with other agencies. Horse and carts were available outside too, but we thought they were slow and overpriced. There are plenty of restaurants within a three-minute walk, handy after a day on foot. Prices weren't cheap, though there are some little gems if you look. We ate at the hotel bar a couple of times. Portions were large, and the food quality was good, but it wasn't cheap. Myanmar food and accommodation in general felt expensive to us. The pool water was absolutely freezing. My boys couldn't stay in longer than a minute, and the sun loungers beside it were lovely. The bar served food and drinks. Reception was hit or miss, with some staff very helpful and others not much help. We arrived very early and our rooms weren't ready, but they kindly let us have breakfast on the roof terrace while we waited. There was a big selection of pastries, cereal and fruit, and you could get an omelette made. The coffee was pretty awful, though maybe I'm fussy. We had come from sunny Thailand and were dressed all wrong for a Myanmar morning. Once we got into the rooms, we were pleasantly surprised. They were a good size, modern and had what we needed. Ours were on the ground floor with little view, and came with a mini fridge and free safes.

We spent a few days here in January 2020 and had a lovely stay. The staff were especially friendly, which made a real difference. Our room was clean, roomy enough, and quiet. Breakfast on the rooftop was enjoyable, and the pool was nice and clean. The bathroom was a bit cramped, and without a shower curtain or door the whole floor got wet whenever we showered. Despite that, I'd recommend it.

Breakfast had a huge selection, and the staff were great. The room door kept catching on the frame and was hard to open. The bed was firm but comfortable. The bathroom and pool area both felt a bit dated, and the bathroom was small, but the shower had good pressure and there was enough light for my wife to do her makeup.
