For arriving at odd hours, the location is a real plus: the hotel is a minute’s walk from the bus station, allows check-in in the middle of the night, and is maybe a five-minute drive from the airport. I arrived at 4am on an overnight bus, exhausted and irritable, and appreciated that. Staff were extremely helpful at any hour and spoke and understood English well. Getting to old Bagan is another matter. It’s a very long way, about 45 minutes by bicycle. I didn’t want to ride an e-bike for safety reasons, and a taxi into the city cost 8,000 kyat. Taxis are hard to find in Nyaung-U, so getting around was inconvenient. I had a pleasant stay, but probably wouldn’t pick it again because it’s so far from the city. The hotel is fairly new, clean, modern, and spacious, with basics like a TV, hot water kettle, sockets, and shower supplies. The toilets were above average, but I spotted tiny bugs on my bed. Also, the “large bed” is actually two single beds joined together. I ate dinner at the hotel twice because it’s far from other places. The dinner menu wasn’t worth the price, around 8,000 kyat and up per dish on average. I wouldn’t recommend eating there, though the rigatoni carbonara is worth a try if you have to.

It’s a little outside town, but the tuk tuks were great fun and really cheap. We got a warm welcome and were able to get into our room early. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean, and we enjoyed a light meal by the pool. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of Asian and Western food. Highly recommend.

The noise from a pool party carried right into our room. Singing went on loudly from the evening until midnight, and it really bothered my family. Management didn't handle it well and did nothing to stop it. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a quiet night's sleep.

For getting around, the location is hard to beat: it's a 3-minute walk from Shwe Pyi Highway Bus Terminal and a 5-minute drive from Nyaung U Airport. The hotel also rents cars, e-bikes, and tri-bikes. We tried a tri-bike for touring the city, and its roof helped with Bagan's heat and safety. The hotel itself is new, with a green setting, a large pool, and plenty of garden and parking space, which is welcome in a dry city like Bagan.

The pool is open to non-guests for 10,000 kjak per person, which is nice. The hotel was very clean and only 2 years old when I stayed. It's about a 3-minute walk from Shwe Pyi Bus Terminal and close to Bagan Airport.
