Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min

The mountain view is behind the hotel, while the lake is out front, and the Lake house has a fantastic view too. The room felt more spacious with its very high ceiling. The swimming pool was really deep. Staff were helpful and attentive. There’s also a gym and spa, though I didn’t get to try them this time. The Sunset bar is currently closed. I’ll definitely visit again.

The Deluxe rooms have a much better layout than the lake-view rooms, and the lake-view rooms could use more lighting. Their bathtub sits between the bathroom and closet without a door, which felt a bit odd. Still, if waking up to a stunning view matters to you, the lake-view room is the one to choose. The rooms are spacious.

We had a lovely Christmas getaway. After swimming, we returned to find a Christmas gift on our bed, and there were more presents waiting at breakfast. The staff were so friendly. Our room was clean and very well kept, with a comfortable bed, perfect bathroom, and gorgeous views. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The spa was phenomenal, the best I’ve found in more than ten years of traveling around Asia. The bungalows were gorgeous and spacious, and the price was reasonable. Everything, including the rooms and amenities, was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We also liked the food, with a good mix of Western and Asian options, and the service was friendly. Management impressed us, and the professional service was top notch. I definitely plan to come back.
