The location worked really well as a base for sunrise and sunset, with easy access to the temples. Even in the heat outside, the air conditioning cooled the room, and the beds were good. The shower was very warm with great pressure. Staff were wonderfully friendly, helpful, and flexible. Breakfast was fantastic every morning. The WiFi wasn't fast, but it stayed connected, which was better than most hotel WiFi I've found in Myanmar.

The staff were really nice, which is why I'm giving it 2 points. But the WiFi signal was weak and it disconnected every five minutes to reconnect. There was only a small shampoo in the shower, with no soap or toilet paper. Breakfast was just a banana and instant coffee. The room faced the main road, only about 10 meters away, and the single-pane windows let in a lot of noise.

Some staff had trouble communicating in English. When they didn't understand me, they acted as if they had, and that led to more than one misunderstanding. Breakfast was the least inspiring I've had since arriving in Myanmar, just white toast and jam, which doesn't set me up for a full day exploring Bagan. Like elsewhere in this city, I felt I wasn't getting what I'd paid for.

The room was clean and the staff were nice. It looked as if the hotel had just been remodeled, but there was still plenty that needed work. At US $25, I could get a better room elsewhere in town.
