Set on a large piece of land away from the main street, the place feels peaceful and secluded, which is its main draw. The staff are extremely friendly, the kitchen is well trained and can prepare a range of meals, and the pool and other amenities are inviting. It costs a little more than nearby hotels and resorts offering the same things, but I’d still recommend it for families.

We tried the Asian and Chinese set dinners on two afternoons in a row. The $15 lunch and swim deal is a nice way to unwind after a hot sunrise or a day exploring Bagan. Service was attentive and excellent. It was very quiet in the off season, with a peaceful garden setting that’s great for relaxing.

The food is delicious, and the place feels quiet and peaceful. It’s at the entrance to Bagan New City, with a large swimming pool and a two-storey building styled like ancient architecture.

The rooms are comfortable and the staff very polite. Breakfast was okay, though I didn’t try the restaurant. There was live music beside the pool, but Myanmar music is something I need to get used to.
