It had only been open for three months when I stayed. This hostel is gorgeous, more like a hotel, though it does have dormitory beds. The contrast between inside and outside is super extreme: ritzy upper class beside basic working-class life in dirt-floor bamboo huts. It would make a great case study for anyone studying gentrification.

I came across this place by chance while walking around, then moved over from another hostel the next day because the price and quality were much better. It’s a wonderful hotel, with different room types, nice clean rooms, fresh linens, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included, delicious and very filling, and changed each day. Special thanks to the chef. It’s served on the open-air rooftop terrace, with a beautiful sunrise view. The team were welcoming and friendly, and did everything to make me comfortable. I’m very grateful for their warm welcome and care. There’s also a large ground-floor hall with hot water for tea or coffee. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay in Bagan.

The food was delicious, and so were the breakfasts. Staff were kind and helpful with all my questions, and even found me an electric bike to rent. Wonderful hostel, I recommend it to everyone.
