MiCO Hill Resort

The hotel's location and atmosphere make for a nice escape from city crowds and traffic. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and I liked the hot milk at breakfast. The owners of MiCo Hill have a good setting and rooms, but the high rates need to be matched by better service and food. Staff seemed undertrained, and we often had to remind them about basic things like towels and tissues. Breakfast options were very limited, refills were slow, and on busy days the food ran short or wasn't kept up well. Empty dishes and snacks stayed that way, fried rice took a long time, and there were no eggs. That's disappointing for the price. The hotel also seemed short on staff and food capacity when occupancy was high. Staff eating in the same dining room as guests added to the shortages and looked unprofessional. Dinner orders were messy too. We ordered strawberry yogurt at the start and asked for it after dinner, but they didn't set it aside for our table and sold it to others. They ran out of strawberries, then brought regular yogurt we hadn't ordered. After a long wait, they altered those drinks with some strawberry mix. We accepted them without complaining further. It was clear the restaurant didn't have a well-established way of recording food and drink orders.
