Management was very friendly, but the price felt high for the quality. The rooms were moldy and not very clean, and the bathroom drained poorly. Water from the shower head went everywhere instead of staying in the bathtub. On the upper floor, the windows ran from floor to ceiling and seemed to be held in only by silicone caulking, which made us feel our children weren't safe near them.

Penswetaw Hotel has been open for more than a decade and has no bad reputation. It's on the old Taung Ngu Yangon-Mandalay highway, and the rooms are clean. The staff are friendly, and the five-floor hotel now has an elevator. There's a bar on the top floor and Unplugged. I think it's a great place to relax with friends, and I'd recommend staying at PanSweTaw Hotel if you come to Taung Ngu.

Wi-Fi gets a little slow during the rainy season, but the staff are well trained, friendly, and helpful. The room has enough space, neither too big nor too small, and the rates seem fair for locals and foreigners alike. If you're a local staying alone in a double room, they give you 5000 kyat cash back. I'd recommend this hotel if you're in TaungGoo.

The rooms are quite old and not very clean. They had me change rooms twice while I looked for one with internet. Only the owner's Wi-Fi is strong, and he doesn't share it with guests.
