Clover Hotel

The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were very spacious. Breakfast was really nice, though it's more cultural than continental, so expect to try something new. The staff are incredibly friendly. The sign at the door says two stars, while online listings give it three. I'd say it deserves the three.

The staff were incredibly helpful, and the beautiful, big rooms were clean. Though a bit outside the city center, the hotel is close to tourist attractions, with taxis always waiting outside. Breakfast was good, with a beautiful view of the pagoda. After a long day, we tried the hotel's vegetarian burger. It was cheap, but it was just a bun with some salad and mayonnaise, plus about eight chips, each no more than two inches long. More funny than upsetting.

I liked it here. The room was nice, the beds were clean, and the price was fair. It was calm, and there were plenty of good things. All good, really.

Kandawgyi Lake is just down the street, with lovely paths and a boardwalk, though watch your step. The downtown area is about a 40-minute walk or a $3 to $4 cab ride away. The staff were wonderfully friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and stylish bathrooms. There's a nice top-floor restaurant with views of nearby Shwedagon Paya. I only had breakfast there, and I'd gladly stay again.
