The staff were very kind and welcoming, and housekeeping was quick and efficient. The room was comfortable enough, with aircon, a bathroom and a safe for passports and money. There are great views around the hotel, and a traditional style spa inside the compound. You can walk around there for leisure time.

It’s very clean, with pleasant surroundings, and getting around is easy. A taxi to downtown costs around $6 USD, and buses are available too. The location is very good, and the rates are good. It’s a great choice over small downtown rooms with heavy traffic and pollution.

I spent 2 weeks here in November 2019 and found it an excellent place to stay. It’s quiet and the room rates are very reasonable. Manager Khin Khin and the other staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Auntie Mary, the hotel cook, was a dear and made great congee for my breakfast each morning. Their dog Billy was affectionate and lovely too. Highly recommended as a budget hotel.

The room price is reasonable, and the location and surroundings are great, but the service is bad. The older man at reception, maybe the owner, is really poor at communicating.

The cottages are surrounded by lush green, and they’re well kept. I spent one night at the highland lodge hotel on my way to another destination. My room was tidy and clean, with aircon, and the staff did everything they could to make me comfortable. Breakfast was great, and the lady serving it was so friendly. People here make you feel special as a guest. I’d highly recommend the hotel.
