Staff at reception, the Italian restaurant, lobby, and spa were faultless, always friendly and smiling. For business, I’d absolutely recommend this hotel over the dated Shangrila. Leisure travelers should consider it too, unless they’re willing to spend twice as much at the Strand or Rosewood, which was in its soft opening phase. It’s a near-new hotel in the heart of the city, just a stone’s throw from Yule Pagoda. My room was well designed, with great lighting, easy-to-use controls, and air con that worked perfectly. The bathroom had the usual amenities, and the shower pressure was strong, at least on the 10th floor where I stayed. The deluxe room is the entry-level option. For less than 50usd more, the premier room is a little bigger and adds a coffee machine, a rectangular table, and a partition between the toilet and shower. Those are useful features for business. The only thing that would have made it perfect is a heated pool. It was cold as a fridge even in the hot weather.

Everything was taken care of so well, and my room was really comfortable, with the flowers I’d requested. I was traveling solo for a relaxing break and arrived late because of my flight, but check-in still went perfectly. The service was amazing. Thanks to everyone for making me feel at home away from home.

Everyone on staff was super friendly, polite, and attentive, especially the breakfast team. The buffet was amazing, and the pool was a lovely place to unwind after a warm day walking around Yangon. This is a great base for discovering the city. It’s downtown, just a few steps from Sule Pagoda. The hotel opened last year, and Accor did a great job. My room was very nice, with great amenities and nice toiletries that my gf really enjoyed.

The rooms were clean and the service solid, and both the pool and gym are decorated really nicely. There’s a clean, comfortable place to work right by the lobby. It’s one of the nicer, relatively new hotels in Yangon, with fancy restaurants, including the Italian restaurant that you MUST try, plus a ground-floor bar. Every morning they’d call out your name from across the lobby to welcome you and start the day right.
