I first stayed here in 2018, came back in 2019, and returned with my wife in 2023. When I’m in Yangon, it feels like home. At these great-value prices I don’t expect five-star luxury. What matters to me is having the essentials and warm, lovely staff who do everything they can to help you feel safe and comfortable.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and they’re happy to help when you have a question. The bathroom isn’t cramped, and the hot water works perfectly. The rooms are a good size if you don’t need lots of space. There’s no fridge, phone, or TV, but that was fine for me. This is a lovely little boutique hotel right downtown, with plenty of nearby food spots and street vendors. It’s a budget stay that’s worth the money. One thing they could improve is the sheets and towels, which could be fresher even though they’re newly washed. It’s a great place to stay.

We enjoyed our time here more than at the fancier hotels we stayed in during Myanmar. It’s centrally located and great value for money. The rooms were clean and a decent size, and breakfast was so good we wished we could have eaten lunch and dinner there too. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d happily recommend it.

The free water cooler in the corridors was a real help. We could refill our bottles and use less plastic. Breakfast was simple but there was plenty, and they were happy to bring more of anything. Nutella and peanut butter felt like a little taste of home after several weeks travelling around the region. The staff spoke good English and were always ready to help. Some of the best service we’ve had in a budget hotel. The hotel is downtown, so you get the city’s busy atmosphere, though the main sights are a bit far to walk. We mostly used Grab taxis to get around. The cheapest rooms are very small, so book a larger one if you want more comfort.

The staff and owners were warm and caring. On our last day we needed to check out before 9 am, but my boyfriend got very sick, so they let him check out later and looked after him attentively. We’re grateful to them. After a couple of helpful emails with booking, we got a nice room for the holiday and paid at checkout. The ride from the airport took an hour and a half. We paid $10 for the taxi when we arrived, then 8,000 kyat when we left for a taxi booked directly through the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we could get free coffee or tea anytime. The room was pretty good. Breakfast only had two options, but it was okay to start the day.
