For USD 27, I booked the smallest room through booking dot com, and it was much better than I expected for the price. This is a quiet-lane find on May Mauk Road, about a 10-minute walk from Royal Garden Chinese restaurant. The bed, pillows, blankets, and linen all felt new and comfortable. The bathroom has a glass-enclosed shower separate from the toilet, so the floor stays dry outside the shower. There are plenty of plugs for devices, and the Mitsubishi Heavy Duty air-conditioning kept a steady, cool airflow.

Shwedagon pagoda looks magnificent from here, and the whole place has a peaceful, happy feel. The hotel is gorgeous, clean, and upscale, with lovely views from the rooms. Everyone was polite and warm, and the service made us feel welcome, almost like being at home. I’d absolutely recommend staying here. You’ll love it.

There’s a restaurant and a rooftop bar with reasonable prices, so go enjoy them. The setting is quiet, with a wide view of Shwedagon pagoda, and the rooms are clean. The customer service is friendly, and families with children are welcome too.

The breakfast is shown in the photo. There’s no swimming pool, but it’s still a lovely spot for a staycation if you want to read or watch movies in your room. The room was clean and spacious enough, and the view matched the pictures. You can see Myanmar’s signature, Shwe Dagon Pagoda, even from the room, not just from the rooftop. Looking out at Kandawgyi, Shwe Dagon, and all the greenery made the price feel worthwhile.
