Hotel M

The staff really went out of their way for us. When the airport lost our luggage, the hotel called and followed up until it was delivered, then put it safely in our room. The place is near Inya lake, and the hotel can negotiate a taxi for trips around Yangon, which are short. Our room was clean and comfortable, the food was good, and the gym and pool were handy. They provided water, tea, coffee each day, plus breakfast. The price is in line with the area, but the quality felt unmatched. I wish I'd taken photos of the room too, instead of just the pool.

Hotel M is tucked into a small lane in the golden valley, and it's a clean, pleasant little place. The rooms are spacious, and the friendly staff make sure you're looked after. It's also convenient for nearby eateries and shopping malls. Breakfast is simple and okay, though a bit too oily for me. Don't expect the kind of spread you'd get at a 4 or 5 star hotel.

The place seemed quiet, clean, and tidy. I spent one night there, checked out of the room at 12, then stayed by the pool until my flight at around 5-ish. Breakfast was decent and enough, though it had fewer buffet choices than the other places I stayed in Myanmar. The people working here were, like people across the country, really nice, helpful, and attentive.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were kind and always available. Breakfast was okay. One thing that bothered us was all the plastic packaging around the items in the room. We'd suggest cutting back on the plastic bags, at least for glasses and other single items.
