Ten Mile Hotel

The rooms were modern and fine for one night, and the staff were friendly. The restaurant suited us, with a pretty good buffet for 10,000. The pool looked nice, though we didn’t use it. It’s close to the airport and offers a free shuttle, but the residential location isn’t near much else. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and there were tiny ants in the bathroom. We’d requested one large bed, and saw that request written on our reservation sheet at check-in, but were given a twin room. We didn’t ask about it since we were staying just one night. They might have been able to fix it if we had.

The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel itself was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. But they overbooked, gave away my room, and had no room for me when I arrived, despite my online confirmation and confirming twice. They ended up putting me in the massage room at a discounted rate. Maybe they’re fine on a regular day, but after this experience I probably won’t go back.

I liked the quiet location, and the rooms were good. The building has a modern design, a swimming pool, and a balcony, which I wish every hotel had. Service was nice too. I’d give the service and location four stars.

For a one-night stop before heading to Mandalay, it was an okay stay. The room (C109, king bed) was clean and roomy enough for one person, and the bathroom was tidy with hot and cold water. Staff were courteous, food prices were reasonable, and the hotel can arrange a $3 airport pickup with a free drop-off. The location is tucked away from the main road in a residential area, though. There were mosquitoes in my room and the pillow smelled bad. Breakfast runs from 6 to 9 am, so an early flight around 6 or 7 means you may miss it, but they’re happy to put together a breakfast box. Some things could be improved.
