The spot by the river is quiet and beautiful, with a lovely sunset and a great view of the stars. A herd of horses even passed while I was taking photos. My ger at Kayak Camp was clean and comfortable, the food was really good and came in big portions, and Jja and the other staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke perfect English. Finding the camp can be tricky, though the directions helped. Use satellite view on Google Maps, and look for the signs to Mandal Tourist Camp just before Kayak Camp. You can ask them to light the wood stove, but go easy on the wood or it gets sauna-hot. It’s 25-30 minutes from the big Chinggis Khan statue and an hour from Turtle Rock.

Kayaking was a real adventure, and the staff were very friendly and fluent in English. The camp is in a good spot for watching the stars, and the ger interior was so clean and impressive, almost like a museum. They kindly made a small bonfire in front of our ger, which was relaxing while we sipped beers. One of the best camps I've visited. Definitely recommend it.

Right by the Tuul River, this is a cozy camp with delicious food and exceptionally friendly staff. You get your own small private bathroom.

The gers were stylish and cozy, and the kayak trip was awesome. I’m a picky gourmet, and even this far from city infrastructure, the food was fresh, varied, and really tasty. Thanks to the Kayak camp team. I definitely recommend it 💯

It’s a little farther out, but that extra 10-minute drive is worth it. Definitely give the kayak trip a try.
